TTUHSC Under Construction

October 24, 2016

The construction phase of the Lubbock campus facility projects will begin soon. The project will consist of three parts:

  • A north expansion that will create two buildings north of the existing TTUHSC building.
  • A west expansion that will add additional facilities to the west side of the existing TTUHSC building.
  • The creation of a boulevard entrance to campus for accessibility.

The main campus parking lots will change as the construction site is fenced off and construction begins.

A Lubbock Parking Advisory Committee has been formed to provide a communication link and participate in the decision of how the parking lot will be reconfigured when the construction site is fenced.

Members of the committee are listed below:

Parking Announcement

October 24, 2016

Shortly after March 1st construction will begin on the Board of Regents approved campus expansion.

A large area of patient/visitor parking will be fenced off as lots C-1, C-2 and D-1 will be closed.

The lost patien/visitor parking will be replaced by changing B-3 from an employee lot to a patient/visitor lot.

More information will be provided as we near the beginning of construction.

Parking Lot Construction

Faculty/Staff Notice

Parking Lot E3 and Angle parking is being reconfigured to increase capacity in these two parking areas. 

Parking Lot D3 will also see a small amount of construction along the western edge to add some additional spaces.   

Construction is scheduled to begin Monday, May 16, 2016 and is anticipated to be completed within three months.

During construction, the following employee parking areas are going to be blocked off:

  • The western edge and north row of parking lot D3
  • The north row of parking lot B3.

The majority of D3 and B3 can still be used by faculty and staff for parking.

If your assigned parking lot is full, please utilize one of the other area reserved employee parking lots (A0, A1, A2,A3, B3, C3, D3, E2 or F1).

Please do not park in any of the patient/visitor parking lots.

Student Notice

Construction is scheduled to begin May 16, 2016 and is anticipated to be completed within three months.  Please be on the lookout for the construction crew while construction is in progress. 

During construction, parking lot E3 and Angle parking will be closed, so students will utilize student parking lot F2, F3 or A3.

Parking Lot Update

August 17, 2015

Parking Lot F1's expansion south has been completed and is ready for F1 permit holders to park on.  F2's parking lot is being expanded south into to F1 to give students more parking.  Be sure to look for the new white line that separates the two lots.

Parking lot A1's expansion has begun and the western edge of A1 and A2 will be converted soon to patient/visitor parking.  While construction is happening portions of the A1 lot will be blocked off.  During this time, A1 permit holders can park in A2 or A3 if the A1 parking lot is full.

New Parking Spaces for Fall 2015!

Parking Lot F2 is being expanded to give students more parking spaces.  Construction is in progress in parking lot F2 to expand your parking area towards the Texas Tech Parkway.  The boundaries of F2 will also be moved south into to parking lot F1 to give students 4 additional rows of parking!

New Parking Lots for Fall 2015

Construction has begun to give Faculty/Staff, Patient/Visitors, and Students additional parking! 
Reconfiguration of current parking:

  • E-1 is being reduced due to a decreased demand for reserved parking.
  • E-2 will expand to include these E-1 spaces.
  • F1 is being reduced to increase the size of F2 to give students additional parking spaces.
  • The western spaces of A-1 and A-2 will be changed to patient/visitor parking.

New construction of parking spaces and lots:

  • F-1 and F-2 West, an expanded row of parking towards the Texas Tech Parkway.
  • F-1 South, an expansion west, southwest of the Preston Smith Library on the corner of the Texas Tech Parkway and 8th Street.
  • A-1 South, an expansion south directly southeast of the Cardiovascular Center.
  • A-0, a new lot directly east of the HSC building.
