General Services Abilene

Who We Are

General Services Abilene provides a wide variety of services aimed to assist other departments in their day to day responsibilities with TTUHSC Abilene.

Mail Services

A campus postage meter is located in room 2100D in the Campus Business Operations Suite, on the second floor of the Population and Public Health building. All outgoing mail is metered using a code for specific departments. Departments are billed for postage use at the end of the month via the FiTS System. Individual stamps are not available.

Postage meter should be used for smaller mail pieces only, such as postcards, letters, and large envelopes - no packages.

Receptacle for stamped or metered outgoing mail is located outside at the Visitor's Entrance of the School of Nursing building.

Packages will be delivered to one location per department. The departments are then responsible for internal distribution.

Abilene Receiving (abilenereceiving@ttuhsc.edu) should be notified by the requisitioning department about palleted, large, heavy, or other non-standard deliveries prior to delivery. Requisitioning department is responsible for contacting Facilities to get assistance with unloading, transporting, and/or setting in place large or heavy shipments. Alternatively, departments may arrange for premium or 'white glove' delivery of large items with the company from which they are ordering.

Outgoing Shipments

Outgoing shipments are the responsibility of the departments. After shipments have been prepared and scheduled for pickup they may be left on the appropriate shelving in the receiving area.
